Toasts, Toasts, Toasts
Having read much raves online about Meet & Melt, we made our way down one day to their latest outlet at Scape, after their very successful first store in Tampines, in hope of delighting ourselves with some yummy crispy Shibuya toasts.
Would we be able to find back that similar wonderful taste from Thailand's After You toasts?
I was in all anticipation! 

The Interior

The wall saw pin ups of customers and their recommendations 

The outlet boosts a big space right at level 2 of *Scape. Plenty of sittings available.

Simple and straightforward setting.

The Order

Charcoal Lava Toast with Salted Egg Sauce, $14.90

Everything was great till we tuck in. 

The queue was short, waiting time was bearable. 

But alas, when I tucked into the toast, it was hard. Really. Hard and not crispy. The salted egg sauce unfortunately did nothing to enhance the combi and tasted really mismatched. This coming from someone who loves salted egg. Perhaps we made a bad combi choice and that hot favourites like Milk Tea Sauce might paired up better? Anyway, it didn't wow us and was saved perhaps, only by the pistachio ice cream we chose.

 Despite it's really pretty plating, the taste fell short. For this pricing, it really was not worth it.
